Final Samadhi – Message from GBC
Dear Devotees and Wellwishers,
Early this morning, 13th July 2020, on the auspicious day of the disappearance of Srila Lokanatha Goswami and the incorporation of the International Society of Krishna Consciousness by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the Vapu of HH Bhakti Charu Swami entered into Samadhi at Sridham Mayapur. The proceedings were captured in high resolution videography and photography and will be available soon via BCS Media.
Maharaja often emphasized that whatever one does, it should be done in a first-class way. And everything Maharaja undertook was always lovingly carried out with this meditation. The first-class arrangements by the Mayapur management were therefore an appropriate tribute to a first-class Vaishnava. Given the tragic shock of the loss to us all, the challenging conditions, and the intensive timeline, it was certainly no easy feat, but the devotees involved executed this service in a most dignified and heartfelt manner.
On behalf of the GBC Body, we would like to thank all those involved, particularly the Government of India and the State of West Bengal for their kind cooperation. We also extend our appreciation to all the devotees who have worked tirelessly to ensure that Maharaja’s vapu safely reached Mayapur Dham and was placed in samadhi with the utmost care and respect. In particular, this wonderful service could not have been completed without the support and hard work of the ISKCON Mayapur administration.
