Hare Krsna, Vaisnavas,

Please accept our humble obeisances!

It is with great pleasure that we announce the March Retreat of His Holiness Bhakti Charu Swami Guru Maharaja in the scenic Sea-resort town of Cox’s Bazar. It is known for its wide sandy beach which is the world’s longest natural sandy sea beach. It is an unbroken 125 km sandy sea beach with a gentle slope. Located along the Bay of Bengal in South Eastern Bangladesh, Cox’s Bazar Town is a very big port and health resort. But it is mostly famous for its long natural sandy beach. Cox’s Bazar is connected by road and air with Chittagong and Dhaka. As one of the most beautiful and famous tourist spots in Bangladesh, the major source of economy in Cox’s Bazar is tourism. Millions of foreigners and Bangladeshi natives visit this coastal city every year. As a result, a large number of hotels, guest houses and motels have been built in the city and coastal region.

Several years earlier, Guru Maharaja was supposed to come to Cox’s Bazar, but the untimely deterioration of His Holiness Jayapataka Swami Guru Maharaja’s health, and later of Guru Maharaja, himself, put a setback to the detailed plan of a retreat that was devised by Guru Maharaja. This time was no different. Guru Maharaja himself planned the whole retreat, down to the last detail. The Cox’s Bazar Retreat 2011 will kick off with the Mangal Arati on the 10th of March, and will finish with concluding remarks from Guru Maharaja on the evening session of 12th of March.

There are plans of :

*Morning Srimad Bhagavatam Class by His Holiness Bhakti Charu Swami Guru Maharaja

*Morning and Afternoon sessions on MAHABHARATA by His Holiness Bhakti Charu Swami Guru Maharaja

*Japa walks after Mangal Arati and also in the afternoon along the Laboni Beach (the main beach, closest to the town) with His Holiness Bhakti Charu Swami Guru Maharaja

*Sea-bathing at noon before prasadam at the Enani Beach (white sandy beach, famous for its golden sand and clean shark free water which is ideal for sea bathing & relaxation away from the crowd of tourists)

*Probable trips to St. Martin’s Island or ‘Coconut Island’ (the only small coral island in the northeast part of the Bay of Bengal), Teknaf (a place situated by the side of Naf river, excellent choice for a river cruise along
beautiful Naf river) and Sonadia Island (a small crescent shaped island)

Registration is required for all the devotees. The devotees will be accommodated at the Upal Tourism Motel and the Saibal Tourism Motel. The registration cost is Tk.500 for Bramhacharies and Tk.1500 for all the other devotees.

We wholeheartedly welcome all Vaisnavas to this special retreat, getting the association of exalted devotees and getting a refreshing & relaxing spiritual vacation, all at the same time.

Sincerely,
Your Humble Servants
