ISKCON Ujjain update 6th October, 2010

Article sent by His Grace Mukunda Prabhu

The rain clouds have left Ujjain and the sun is shining brightly with the temperature in the afternoon touching 35*C while in the early morning it is a little chilly. Since my last post on 24th September we have had several groups visiting our temple, one group of around 200 workers from a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant who were overwhelmed by the splendor of the temple and the Deities. A batch of 55 devotees led by H.G.Krishnachaityna Prabhu from Chowpatty temple visited Ujjain and they enjoyed every moment of their stay. We regularly have school children accompanied by their teachers visiting the temple which is surely becoming a shrine that no one misses while on a visit to Ujjain.

Guru Maharaj had been to Malaysia and China and then on to Surat where more than 4000 youths came to hear spiritual discourses while the girls of our youth wing performed various cultural programs. Guru Maharaj also held an inititation ceremony at Surat. From there Guru Maharaj had plans to visit Bangladesh and later Mayapur. However we are getting an unexpected bonus as Guru Maharaj came here on the 5th morning and assured us that he will spend the next ten days in Ujjan. We are now getting his darshan during mangal arati followed by Srimad Bhagavatam class in the morning and again a discourse in Hindi in the evening on the Mahabharat.
