Dear Devotees

Yesterday morning we went to Escorts heart institute here in Delhi. We were receiving phone calls from every where in the world. Our phones were almost constantly ringing. This shows our love for our beloved spiritual master.

Devotees were calling to find out in deep concern about Srila Gurumaharaj’s health. Many sounded deeply worried, many sounded
anxious and almost everybody sounded prayful. Thank you for your prayers and well-wishes. May the grace of Sri Guru, Srila Prabhupad
and Lord Gauranga be upon you all.

Well the day started with Gurumaharaj going for a morning walk outside our ISKCON New Delhi temple. We walked around the temple and went upto the Lotus Temple nearby. It’s a huge lotus like structure, people come here to see the unique building and some meditate here in silence! Then Srila Gurumaharaj returened to our temple as the time for Darshan Aarati approached. He met with few godbrothers outside the temple room and sweet words were exchanged. Then Srila Gurumaharaj had darshans and we returned to the guest house for breakfast prashadam. Then around 8:15 we left for the hospital.

When we reached the heart institute Srila Gurumaharaj went for some basic blood test and an X-Ray. As Gurumaharaj walked out of the X-Ray room, looking at all of us he joked “…it looks like the whole temple has come here”. Srila Gurumaharaj lightened our heads and hearts with his joke and his smiles. All glories to our expert and compassionate Gurumaharaj!

The institute didn’t have a “single” room for us and our appointment was for 12 mid-day so we decided to go back to the temple.

We reached in twice the time it to took us to go to the hospital because of heavy traffic on the road. Dr Krsna Priya mocked the
“advancement” made by Delhi. Gurumaharaj then rested a little, freshened up and had his lunch prasadam.

Then around mid day we left back for the heart center. Paperwork and admin processes kept us waiting again for a room. Finally we got all done and the room was aloted. Only two attendents could accompany Srila Gurumaharaj upstairs to the room at the floor where the
Angiography was meant to happen. So rest of the devotees waited in the lounge downstairs.

The time for the Angiography kept on chaging from 1 to 3 to 4 to 5 to 7 pm!!! Gurumaharaj rested well all this time. Myself and Dr Krsna
Priya prabhu stayed there, waiting for our call for the procedure to begin.

Finally at around 8 pm Srila Gurumaharaj was taken in. The procedure was about an hour long and the doctors found out that there was only a minor blockage and Angioplasty was not required!! The Angiography was also performed very nicely and there are no issues pertaining to it either.

Srila Gurumaharaj is well and resting. We all are very thankful to The Lord for taking such good care of our beloved Srila Gurumaharaj.
