Vyasa Puja offerings

Vyasa Puja offerings

Dear Devotees,

Please accept my best wishes and blessings. All glories to Srila Prabhupada,

As usual, this year also, I received many wonderful “Vyasa Puja” offerings from many of you. Since we decided not to print any “Vyasa Puja” book, I thought it would be nice to share those offerings with you.

From today I will present some offerings everyday for next few days. I hope this communication will help us get closer to each other.

I hope this meets you well.

Yours in the service of Srila Prabhupada,

Bhakti Charu Swami

The following letter is the first “Vyasa Puja” offering I received this year

Dearest Guru Maharaj,

Please accept my humble obeisances.
All Glories to Srila Prabhupada. All Glories unto Your Lotus Feet.

Guru Maharaj, it has been seven years since I have been involved in ISKCON. The years have gone by so fast that I feel like I have not spent enough of that time doing spiritual activities especially reading Srila Prabupada’s books. Many times I have heard you say in classes and in disciple meetings that how important His books are and that we should read them. I thank you for this continues instruction on this as it has helped me to make the endeavour to try and read more books. At the moment I am reading Srimad Bhagavatam. I am also reading a book written by Srutakirti Prabhu which I’m really enjoying as is about his intimate moments with Srila Prabhupada. This book has really helped me build my relationship with Srila Prabhupada and has made me become closer to Him.

The first time was introduced to you was when I came to Ujjain for the Temple opening ceremony. At that time you said to me to become a good devotee. Since that day I am thinking how I can follow your instruction and do this properly. Please guide me in how I can become a good devotee.

At present I’m working in a nursery and despite the fact that I don’t like studying I started a child care course in January of this year. It is going well and is due to Finish in October. I decided to do this course as this would be good for my professional development and also with some devotee’s recommendation.

Soon after I took initiation from you two years ago my senior god sister Champaklata mataji asked if I can cook for the deities at Bhaktivedanta Manor once every five weeks on a Sundays. She has personally trained me in doing this service. I have great pleasure in cooking the four o’ clock offering for Their Lordships but yet I feel very unqualified to do this service. This is one of my main services at the Manor and I make garlands for the Deities their every Sunday.

Thank you for your continues guidance through email with my husband.

Hope you have a wonderful celebration in Ujjain.

Dearest Gurumaharaj,

All glories to our saviour Srila Prabhupada, all glories to His body ISKCON and all glories to His pure devotees All glories to all the devotees.

Please accept my dandavats obeisances at your lotus feet on this day of your Vyasa Puja. May I always take shelter and guidance from you.

I have much to report to you Srila Gurudev, I will reveal my heart to you as I feel pained that misinformation always travels faster than the truth and in this age of Kali very few know the meaning of revealing ones heart in confidence.

Sherneen and I approached You for shelter many years ago, I remember clearly how at Raghavans house, during the filming of Abhay Charan we met in the garden. You so mercifully agreed to give us shelter and told us that you will give us initiation together. I have no doubt that by your spiritual vision you have seen something in me that even I cannot see.

I have not being able to attend your vyasa puja celebrations for a few years now, please forgive me and I will try to explain.

In 2005 September Shrida was in the Intensive care Unit of a large hospital in Cape Town, All the specialist accept one had given up hope of her recovery, Sherneen and I where parents for only 6 months and this was devastating. By the Lords infinite mercy she recovered by the doctors words ‘A Miracle’. All Glories to Lord Nrsinghadev who protects His Devotees

On 23 October 2006 Sadhvi was born, one month after the your vyasa puja. Sherneen was in no condition to travel.

September 2007 I was in hospital with a medical problem. On 15sep 2008 Yadav, our son was born. We did not attend the retreat in the Drakensburg as it would have been very difficult with a 4year old, 2 year old and 3 month old baby.

No one of the God family or congregation nor temple devotees ever enquired as to why we had not attended but I suspect they have speculated about my aspiration.

I have no doubt about my aspiration to be your disciple.

I have great respect for your God Brothers Srila Gurudev, They are such wonderful and kind personalities.

I would like to thank His Holiness Bhakti Caitanya Maharaj for always been approachable and giving such loving attention and guidance. He is a jewel inIskcon and I respect him as one of my Shiksha Gurus.

His Holiness Bhakti Tirtha Swami was and still is an inspiration to me, I watched his glorious departure on DVD, His display of dignity and love for Krsna has changed my heart, I pray that when my time comes I will be ready.

His Holiness Indradyumna Swami is an inspiration to us all, via his Diary of a Travelling Preacher he keeps reminding me of how the Lord protects and Inspires his Devotees

HH BB Govinda Swamis bhajan CDs are beautiful

HH Lokanath Swamis lectures are powerful and his bhajans are heartfelt

HH Partha Sarati Maharaj is so humble that he allowed me to be of minute service and I appreciate that.

Lastly I want to express my appreciation of Your dear friend and one of Srila Prabhupads Great sons, Shymalal Prabhu From Durban. I recently had the opportunity to associate with this wonderful person, He has not a single trace of ego or pride. He is a Friend to All. Shymalal Prabhu answered my questions in such a clear way, I know understand that Krsna is testing our resolve all the time. I suspect that He uses the devotees to test each other Srila Gurudev I have been following Your activities on the internet and emails, You are truly Inspired by the Lord. Everything You do You do perfectly and You do it for Krsna. Srila Prabhupada and His Iskcon.

Please Gurudev, do not forsake me or chastise me too harshly for I am weak and dim witted, my intelligence is limited.

I have being dreaming about you, recently four nights in a row, Perhaps its because I Think of you so often that what I meditate on during the day emerges in my dreams at night.

I have heard that the spiritual master is eternal, is presented by the supersoul when the soul is truly seeking, and that the spiritual master knows the heart of his disciple.

I believe that this is true.

I am always your servant and please always be my Spiritual Master.

Thank you for giving Jasu, Anjli, Kajal, Meera and I shelter at the dust of your lotus feet and I thank you for all the mercy that you have showered upon us.
